Job Objectives:
- Create detailed IT solution/service designs based on functional specifications to meet quality, performance requirements, and technical constraints.
- Define service effects, delivery methods, and user consumption for optimal results.
- Build, configure, and customize technical solutions in line with specifications for quality and performance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising activities related to the design, development, and implementation of systems and software applications.
- Support development lead in application development and management operations.
- Contribute to planning the introduction of new application systems.
- Develop prototypes and proof-of-concept systems to validate potential solutions.
- Ensure peer-reviewed and documented solutions.
- Assist in maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing IT systems and applications.
- Participate in the customization of application packages.
- Design technical solutions from high to low levels.
- Develop technical designs supporting service development, execution, and operations.
- Create service development plans, review with users, and manage implementation.
- Actively participate in unit testing/quality reviews to ensure the solution meets specifications.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to reports.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Percentage of user requirements met by systems.
- Number of systems-related customer complaints.
- Frequency of repeated quality audit exceptions.
- Percentage of overdue incidents and problems.
- Number of failed/delayed application releases.
- Timeliness of subordinate reviews and mentoring.
- Effectiveness of subordinate reviews and mentoring.
- Number of designs submitted without rejections.
- Number of unfixed bugs.
- Applications delivery budget versus actual budget.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in a business/IT related discipline. Masters, MBA, or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering solutions.
Knowledge:
- Proficient knowledge of software development frameworks, concepts, and best practices.
- Working knowledge of system implementation.
- Proficient knowledge of structured systems analysis and design, and software development life cycle.
- Proficient knowledge of relational database management system and tools.
- Good knowledge of enterprise application systems such as Finacle 10, Oracle ERP, etc.
- Proven technical aptitude in several relevant application programming domains.
- Working knowledge of quality control/assurance.
- Sound conflict management skills.
- Customer-centricity.
- Creative, results-oriented, and analytical with strong problem-solving capability.
- Good leadership and influencing ability.
